CareerChat(UK) and Morrisby Formally Launch New Think-Piece: AI, New Insights, and the Future of Career Guidance

On Thursday 21st November a select audience was invited to the launch of a new thinkpiece entitled – Careers 2035: What does AI mean for the future of career guidance? This research was produced by Dr Deirdre Hughes OBE and Dr Chris Percy and was commissioned by Morrisby. Deirdre and Chris presented illustrations of what future AI scenarios might look like in a career guidance context.

This was followed by a panel discussion chaired by Jane Hamilton (Journalist (The Sun and The Times, Editor and Careers Expert) with contributions from Rachel Sandby-Thomas CB – Registrar, University or Warwick, Prof Simon Hepburn – Chief Executive of The Security Institute and Joanne Carrington, Head of Guidance at Morrisby. The audience were invited to ask questions which resulted in lively discussion and debate about the future of careers and the use of AI.
